Semi-Pro Review Highlights

Cakebaker and I saw Semi-Pro this past weekend and it was alright. There wasn't too much substance to the plot but their are a few high lights like the bear fight.

What else can I say except it's a Will Ferrell movie. If you're like me then you'll go for the laughs and that's about it.

Rambo (2008)

This past weekend I watched Rambo. I'm a fan of the original Rambo movies and I have to say that this one does measure up to its
predecessors. It was pretty gory with loads of body parts being cut and shot off. The kill count is around 200. But don't expect too much from the plot or dialog. There's lots of staring and some sentence could have been easily replaced with a grunt.

Overall,

If you like mindless action and a simple plot then this movie is for you.

My Birthday Celebration

It was a blast.

First and foremost, many thanks to everyone that attended. I'm glad so many of you could celebrate my birthday with me. Also, many thanks to everyone that sent me birthday wishes via text message. I'm glad you were thinking of me.

I held my celebration at Scallywags. This place was great. I chose Scallywags for a few reasons. They had a diverse menu, many different kinds of beer on tap and they had a FREE party room. It was a good thing we booked the party room because at the peak of the night we had about 20+ people eating, drinking and having a good time. Finally the service was simply fantastic. Our waitress was friendly, she got everyones order right and was prompt with food and drinks.

Thanks again to everyone that came out to my birthday celebration. It is going to be an amazing year.

The Pursuit of Happyness

Yesterday The Pursuit of Happyness came out on DVD. I wanted to see this in the theater but I didn't have a chance. I rented it last night.

I'm glad I was about to take sometime out to watch this DVD. This movie has given me some insight into my life based on experiences and perspective in this film. Just to see how much someone is willing to fight for a better life make me feel that I should be fighting for something better. I shouldn't just except mediocrity from myself. I should pushing myself to do whatever is necessary for the life and dreams that I want achieve. Fitness and health is only the small picture. I must focus on my life as whole instead of just small pieces at a time.

Here's to fighting for a better life.

In my opinion The Pursuit of Happyness is a great film. I would recommend this movie to anyone out there that feels that a better life and happiness is something worth fighting for!

Casino Royale

Last night Tamara and I watched Casino Royale.



It is by far one of the best James Bond movies. It has all of the elements that make up a good spy movie. Mystery, actions, sex appeal, nice cars, and great gagets are packed into Casino Royale.

The one thing that made this movie stand out the rest of the James Bond movies is there are a couple sceens that show James Bond is human and can be caught off guard. It is the visualization of mortality that makes our heros more glorious. Casino Royale pulls this off amazingly.

Sometimes the plot gets swayed off course a little but it is all wrapped up nicely in the end.

I would recommend this movie to anyone that is a James Bond fan.
